ADH FLOORING (floor screeding contractors) have been providing quality floor screeds since our founding in 1990. In 2007 ADH Flooring became ADH Flooring Limited. It is our mission to be
the chosen company for cost-effective quality floor screed. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to use experienced, quality, tradesmen for every job undertaken.
Company
Antony Harper started the business in 1990. As well as running the business he is still ‘on the tools’ laying floor screeds. Before supplying & laying the floor screeding
materials Antony worked for many sub-contract firms on a labour-only basis. During that time he worked on many Isocrete floor contracts, a few of which are listed in the ‘Jobs Done’
section. ADH Flooring Limited is not a K-screed licensee, though we do offer many modern alternatives that exceed k-screed properties.
ADH Flooring Limited is still a family run business, working from home, with a small number of staff. We are a small and very competitive company, with very few overheads. Our main supply of
work comes from within the building industry, though we will always undertake any other supply that is available.
We install our floor screeds to the highest standard. Not all floors are done to this standard. Please be aware that there are companies offering screeding works, that have very little
knowledge, or enough skilled tradesmen, to achieve a quality floor screed.
We invite any company to come along to site, access permitting, and test our screed works strength / compaction, surface regularity and finish. The difference between a quality floor screeder and
a ‘not-so’ quality screeder is a country mile, especially on critical areas such as underfloor heating and areas where tiles are to be applied.
ADH Flooring Ltd has never had a floor screed fail for any reason. We believe that if there is a problem that cannot be easily worked around, the best solution is to stop work until there is a
viable, workable solution. Not to carry on and hope that the problem won’t come back at a later date. References can be supplied on request.
Please note that the photographs on this site are our photographs, taken of our screeding work. We don’t borrow pictures or take photographs of anything that does not include our screed.
At ADH Flooring Ltd we try our best to give the customer the best service that we can. We will endeavor to find the most cost-effective product to achieve the floor screed that you need. We
will always include polypropylene fibres in the mix. Our accuracy to detail is extremely high. The surface regularity is always at the best end of any standard scale and doesn’t come any better as
our SR level is always at SR1* when checked. Our compaction rate is very high as we use a more compaction oriented technique than most other floor screeders. The finish we achieve is very tight as our
compaction is high we don’t have any sinking and we powerfloat our screeds in large areas.
*SR1 exceeds the regularity that is normally achieved using a flowing screed.
Underfloor heating is very convenient and efficient in modern homes, especially in kitchens and Conservatories. Many homes are suitable to be changed to underfloor heating i.e. if the floor is
made up of floor boards on timber joists on the ground floor. If the building is built on footings with a substrate concrete slab laid between walls, this may still be suitable, but hard work is going to be
involved. Some old buildings floor build up is tile on sand, which is possibly the easiest to convert to underfloor heating.
Alternatively, if there is sufficient height, it may be possible to build up an underfloor heated system on top of existing floors.
We are able to offer these conversion services, together with a damp-proofing and insulation.

First fixing for Underfloor heating control systems.
There are three main types of thermostat for UFHS.
220v - 240v hard-wired mains, 12v hard-wired network and wireless network.
If you are building a home from new or fully renovating a building you would be best using a wired system. To have a future-proof system, you may find it useful to install 4-core+earth plus an
8-core Cat5 cable to every point where a thermostat, or controller, is to be placed, terminating at the point where the wiring centre is to be housed (keep very close to UFHS manifold for the actuators). This
way you still have the option to use a 12v network system or 240v mains system.
If you are installing underfloor heating in an extension, you may find it more practical to use a wireless system. These use a battery powered thermostat to control a receiver or wireless enabled
wiring centre such as the Heatmiser UH1-W.
A 240v hard-wired mains system can use WiFi so that the timer and thermostats can be controlled / viewed by using a PC web browser or iPhone/iPod/iPad/Smartphone App. Click the links to the right
