Feedback
The feedback we get from our customers and clients, though always very positive, helps us to improve the work we do. Because every bit of work we do is treated as though it was done at our own
home, we always do a top quality job. Our customers are always very happy with the resulting floor. We get feedback, through our customers, from tilers, joiners and kitchen fitters who say they can’t
believe how good the screed is and it is the best they’ve seen. It is true we do a top quality job, but we accept that there are other top quality floor screeders that also do a quality job. However
not all companies will do such a quality job.

Underfloor Heating Design / installations
We charge an upfront fee of £50.00 + VAT for each floor level, upto a maximum of 250m2 for UFH CAD designs. This fee will be deducted from the
final invoice if we install the system.
Our UFH quotes will be based on us supplying the manifold, A rated pump mixer kit, 16x2mm aluminium barrier pipe, clips & labour (thermostats
& wiring centre supplied if listed). It will be assumed that on site electrical installers will first fix wires 3 core cables from all stats to manifold. If we supply the thermostats and wiring centre
it is understood that this is on a supply only basis and fitting will be done by on site electricians also. Although we can supply a heating engineer to install / connect the UFH manifold to the boiler it is
assumed that this will be done by the on site heating engineer. Leaving the electrical work and manifold connection to on site engineers will keep the price down for the customer, if specifically requested we
can price for these too. As commissioning the system will need to be done quite sometime after floor installation we do not include this in our price. We will guide a commission using facetime or Skype
free of charge.
Traditional screeds or flowing screeds (aka liquid screeds & self-levelling screed)
Most UFH installers like to have traditional floors screeds over UFH pipes. This is because it is able to include admixtures that will
accelerate drying times and reduce shrinkage by reducing the water content. It is also able to accept tiles with very little preparation - only a flexible adhesive is needed. It is also done to SR1 by
quality floor screed installers and can be installed to falls in shower rooms, wet rooms & pool areas . For smaller areas and ground floor levels traditional screeds are normally more cost effective than
flowing screeds. There are some new admix products that are soon to be able to allow traditional screeds to be applied at floating depths of 40mm.
A large majority of plumbers & heating engineers who occasionally install UFH will recommend flowing screeds over UFH pipes. This is
normally because they were told it is thermally more efficient than traditional screed as it conducts the heat better. Recent tests by several admix manufacturers have cast a lot of doubt over this and it
appears that traditional screed is much thermally efficient. Flowing screeds are mainly gypsum binder based (Anhydrite) and can react badly if cement based tile adhesive is applied. There are adhesives on
the market that are designed to be compatible with flowing screeds such as Gypfix. Flowing screeds do have their uses especially where screeds depths are unbonded under 50mm or floating under 65mm. They
are also sometimes much more cost effective if the location of the floor is quite difficult to access using traditional methods. Flowing screeds are normally done to SR2. Flowing screeds are more cost
effective in large, thinner areas above ground floor.
ADH Flooring Ltd will install either type of screed.
